Passage 14

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Those who live in those rooms are your own brothers and sisters. When you foster such close kinship and relationship, hatred toward anyone does not arise.

Embodiments of Prema! Above all, every man must understand divinity. There is nothing else at all in the world but God. There is no power at all. One God. Many people say there is power and there is matter. But there is no such thing as matter. All is energy, all is power. That matter too turns into energy in the course of time. This is cloth. What is there before cloth? There is thread. What is there before the threads? There is cotton. So cotton, thread and cloth, all three are one. The forms and the names have become different. But the basis is one alone, and that is divinity. No one can say it is not so. If you say it is not, say so and go your way; but you have no authority to say My God is not. Such deep faith must develop in the man of today. If someone or other does a good deed, people abuse it, saying, ‘Bad, bad.’ Where do you get the authority to call it bad? If you can, you too do good; otherwise keep quiet. Instead, why do you criticise those who do good? You should not go in for such criticism.

Only One Who Conducts Himself without Ajñāna Is Man

Students! Such a sacred, broad heart must develop in the boys and girls of today. You are all the uplifters of the Bhārata to come, the uplifters of the world. The leaders and pleaders of the future are you yourselves. So you must take up this kind of leadership. Only then will the country prosper. “Lokāssamastāḥ sukhinobhavantu.” The whole world must always be safe. Vajpayee said, ‘Sarvaloka hiterataḥ.’ Everyone must be well. That is what all of us must wish for. Everyone must be safe. Everyone must be happy. Everyone must be happy. That is the true birthday. What does a true birthday mean? At a certain time many people say ‘Happy birthday’. You may say ‘Happy birthday’ to those who are not happy. Why ‘Happy birthday’ to one who is always happy? He told Prahlāda.
