You must keep far away from bad company. A man looks very saintly in his words and his gestures. But his actions look like those of a great demon. Do not trust such people and come to ruin. Adulterated gold of this kind is growing a great deal. You must always become pure gold. Even a little pure gold is of great value. But though all the metals join and make a lump this big, it does not get its true value. All that is in the lump is quantity. Though it is small, it is quality. You must take quality as the chief thing.
Why ten acres of land that yields no crop? A little good land is enough.
Half an acre is enough. You can grow as much crop as you like. So today we have entered this kind of path and are spoiling the whole of a sacred heart. You need not listen to anyone's word. Follow your conscience. That is follow the master. Who is your master. Your conscience is your master. Face the Devil. Fight to the end. Finish the game. This is the very principle of our life. By adding all these adulterating metals, saying ‘this Swami, that Swami’, you are forgetting the Swami who is your support. You are forgetting your Swami. You are forgetting your own svarūpa. This is what each one brings on himself with his own hands. Follow your conscience. Do what you know to be good and what satisfies you. I never use force. I do not force anyone. Why do I not use force? There is a natural source in you. That itself is the source of the Ātma. Force is military force. Source is the source of the Ātma. It is filled with Prema. Make that Prema grow without a break. Take this as the answer to this first question.
What, I alone will protect? Jesus did not say, ‘I alone am the Truth; nothing else is the truth.’ All are embodiments of Satya. All are embodiments of purity. He went on proclaiming with the broad feeling that all are children of God. You must not abuse one another. You must not strike one another. That you must not harm one another: that alone was His message.
