In plain words
It is a mistake to think Swami has no compassion merely because He is not seen in your dreams
The second question. Swami comes to many people in dreams. But, ‘Why should those dreams not come to us?’ This too is a kind of innocence. This is not something that comes into a dream merely because they think of Him. You think of so many people. Do all of them come into your dream? They do not. It is a great mistake to think that Swami has no compassion for you just because He does not come in a dream. What is called a dream is a reflection. I will tell you something about dreams. It is very good for dreams to come. Some bad ones come. Some terrifying ones come. Some painful ones come. Some joyful ones come. Some sorrowful ones come. The reason all these come is that from time to time everything has gathered in your resolves. They have all gathered inside and become stock. It is very good for them to come out in the form of this dream. You must take all these as reflection, reaction, resound of what is in me. But Swami's dream is not reaction, resound, reflection. It comes only when I will it, not when you think of it. Yesterday a man came. One who had never seen Me. You know, yesterday the Mohammedans played music. They had not seen Me. I told him. ‘When you went to America, there was a car accident there. I appeared to you there; do you know?’ I said. ‘Oh! my God,’ he wept inside, poor man. I have never seen Him, and He appeared in America! He went to sleep again that same night. In his dream I told him, ‘You are coming to Puṭṭaparti for the next birthday.’ Yesterday they came. That is a dream. But in this dreaming too some confusion dreams come. Swami says, ‘I am appearing.’ Then your own feelings keep appearing too. That and this, the two, mix up together. This is not right. This did not come by Swami's resolve. It comes from a fault in the food, from indigestion. If I come, I come clearly, speak clearly and go. You dream that you have gone to Puṭṭaparti. Then you dream that you have gone to America. Two or three things merge into the one.
