Passage 12

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Some people think that Swami is angry with them and that Swami is not talking to them. But I am not angry with anyone. Yet now and then, to set you right, I do not talk with you for some days.

When illness comes, you must give medicine, and along with the medicine you must also set a diet. In the same way, to bring about a transformation in your mind, now and then I stay Quiet. Give no room to anger and hatred. Anger must not grow; Prema must grow. The more Prema grows, the more happiness you gain, and the nearer you come to Ānanda. You know what end came at last to Hiraṇyakaśipu, Rāvaṇa and Duryodhana, who nursed anger against God Himself. The Pāṇḍavas, though, who nursed Prema, gained well-being. How many hardships befell them! But their very Prema for God kept protecting them at all times. So love God. Only then can you experience happiness and peace.
