In plain words
As a result, Hanumān was born from her womb. No one knows of this close bond between Hanumān and Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, Bharata and Śatrughna. Hanumān too is truly a part of the pāyasam Daśaratha received from the yajña.
At the time of the coronation Rāma gave gifts to Vibhīṣaṇa, to Sugrīva and to many more vānara heroes. But to Hanumān he gave nothing. Sītā noticed this and said, “Lord! It would be good to give Hanumān some gift too, would it not!” Then Rāma: “Sītā! Hanumān does not look for gifts. He has no need of them. I have nothing with me fit to give so great a devotee,” he said. Then Sītā took the pearl necklace from her neck and handed it to Hanumān. Hanumān took it and began biting each pearl, holding it to his ear and throwing it away in disappointment. Seeing this, Sītā: “Hanumān! You still have not let go of your monkey mind. That is a precious pearl necklace my father gave me. But without knowing its worth you are biting it and throwing it away,” she said. Hanumān: “Mother! Forgive me. Whatever lacks Rāma's name, be it a gem or a pearl, is to me the same as a stone. Every hair on me is filled with Rāma's name. See for yourself, if you wish,” he said, and plucking a hair from his arm he held it to Sītā's ear. From that hair too Rāma's name could be heard!
Hanumān himself is the root cause of the Rāmāyaṇa taking place. Without Hanumān himself there would be no Rāmāyaṇa at all. He is the supremely sacred embodiment of Bhakti. Wherever Rāma's name is, there Hanumān is. Hanumān saw the oneness of name and form. This itself is true Advaita. Is any devotee following the ideal of so sacred a Hanumān? However many times you recite the Rāmāyaṇa, what use is it if your ways of thinking do not change? Today many people call themselves devotees of Rāma, but true devotees of Rāma are nowhere to be seen. Among today's devotees show has grown, and practice has come to nothing. Show is contrary to Bhakti. Rāma never once accepts Ahaṅkāra or show; to practice alone he gives first place.
