In plain words

As desires grow, he falls into bondage. If he is to be freed from bondage, he must fill his mind with Prema for God. He must forget all his worries and contemplate God. For this, practice is needed.

Jñāna is better than practice; dhyāna excels Jñāna; than dhyāna, giving up the fruits of action; from giving up, Śānti follows at once.

Walking, talking, eating, reading, writing: all these you are able to learn only through practice, are you not! In the same way you must practise spirituality too, with Prema.

Illumination Mind Is the State of Samādhi

Day by day you must go on increasing your Prema. If today you have shared your Prema with ten people, tomorrow share it with twenty. Only when you practise in this way does the feeling of the one Ātma take shape; the whole universe turns into one family. So, fostering Prema and restraining outward-turned thoughts, you must enter Illumination Mind step by step. Current melts even iron. In the same way Illumination Mind burns to ashes the dual feeling called good and bad. In the language of spirituality they called this ‘the state of samādhi’. Samādhi means ‘sama-dhi’ (Buddhi held even). It develops the feeling of the one Ātma that lies beyond good and bad. So what you must do now is this: serve everyone with Prema. Whomever you serve, think of it as serving God. “I am the great one, he is the little one; I am rich, he is poor. How am I to serve him?”: give no room to such a sense of difference. Who is rich? Who is poor? Only the one who has contentment is rich; only the one who has desires beyond measure is poor. So the more you reduce the luggage called desires, the more happiness you will enjoy. The more desires decrease, the more the power of the mind grows.

Over Mind Is the Amanaska State

Everything else has a death, but the mind has no death. It is the very root of everything. So foster in the mind the noblest feelings, sacred, pure and selfless.
