In plain words
Not only that: you must keep your sight too under control. Why look at silly, worthless pictures and silly, worthless sights? What use comes of looking at them? All this time you have seen so many things. What gain has come from them? And what use will come of what you are yet to see? None at all. So do not look at bad sights.
See the Form of God to Your Eyes’ Content
Many go to temples. But, once they have gone, they do not look at God; they shut their eyes and bow. What did they go all that way for? Was it not to see God? Then, once they have gone there, why shut their eyes? Open your eyes and look well. When I sit at bhajan, I keep watching: even the children who sing the bhajans sing with their eyes shut. You are not blind like Sūrdās! Then you could open your eyes and look well, could you not! You must see with the eyes, keep time with the hand, utter the Name with the mouth. Whatever temple you go to, you must see the form of that God to your eyes’ content; you must install that form in your heart. Only then will Bhakti and prapatti grow in you. The reason Bhakti and prapatti are dwindling in you today is precisely that you are unable to recognise the truth. I am telling you even small matters today just so that you may recognise the truth. To tell the truth is My duty.
My Life Is My Message, Follow Me
If you wish to develop Bhakti and prapatti and lead a sacred life, do sacred deeds. Then you can surely attain divinity. It is with this in view that I said, My life is My message. Follow Me. I love all. There is great purity in Prema. Prema itself, step by step, attains the form of Jñāna. Only through sacred Prema have I been able, all this time, to teach divinity to so many people.
Have I sent all of you any invitations! I have not! It is My Prema that has drawn you here. Recognise this truth: why have all of you come here?
