In plain words
When you get angry, “Chī! This anger will harm me; it will make me do a bad deed. This is not good”: warn yourself like this. Drink some cool water, sit down in one place, and remember the Name of God. In a little while it will subside. If even then the anger does not subside, go to some solitary place and walk fast for half a mile. Then your anger will cool down. In this way, there are many easy ways to reduce anger.
But children today, when anger comes, do not try to reduce it. They try to make it grow still more. When anger comes, discernment perishes. So at that moment it is better to go away from that place. Rather than commit a sin and then suffer to make amends for it, is it not better to take care not to commit the sin at all? You must try, step by step, to reduce the bad qualities in you through thinking of God and through prayer to God. The sinful deeds you do may not be known to others. But even if others do not know, does God not know? He knows. So always do only good deeds.

Today I want to tell you one more thing. It may be hard for you to hear, but to me it is a joy. From today, I have decided not to grant pādanamaskāra to anyone. For you and I are one. “Īśvaraḥ sarvabhūtānām”: the God who is in everyone is one alone. Recognise this truth. To whom should you bow? Bow to your mother and father. For they do not know the truth either, and neither do you. But since I know this truth, I must practise it. What is in you, what is in them, what is in these here, is the one Ātma. So no one need bow to anyone. When Swami is coming and going, if you fall at Swami's feet, it is a trouble to others as well. If you wish to bow, do it in your mind. Join your ten fingers: “Swami!
