If we want to do any good work, we must have firm determination. You must give no room to weakness. Puttaparthi, once a tiny hamlet, has today become a big town. In the cities, if you pay a hundred rupees a day, you get a room. But in Puttaparthi, outside, sometimes even if you pay a thousand rupees a day it is hard to find a room. See how a small village has changed! An airport and a super speciality hospital, which even the big cities do not have, have come up here. Many more programmes are yet to take place that will offer an ideal to the whole world. Many eminent people are coming here. We are not inviting anyone. They come of themselves. What is the reason? Here is the Caitanya Jyoti. It is that divine light which draws everyone.
I had meant not to keep the festival of My birth. I even told Chiranjeevi Rao, “Make no arrangements for this birthday.” The day joy grows in all of you, that day is My birthday. The whole world must fare well. Giving joy to all is My joy. All of you, experience joy. Follow the path of Satya and shape the country into an ideal. Even if you cannot change the country, at least shape those near you into people of true resolve. Every day bring at least five people onto the spiritual path. Then the whole country will take shape as an ideal. Let Me tell you a small example. When I was setting out to come here, My voice was not right at all. But after coming here and seeing you, I forgot My voice. I placed your forms in My heart. At that very moment the voice was put right. Only when we let go of attachment to the body does attachment to the country grow in us. This is direct proof.
