In plain words
After the maharṣi had bowed at the Pāṇḍavas' feet and risen, Kṛṣṇa: “These are great kings, emperors. The sons of King Pāṇḍu. At present they are living in the forest in exile and are hankering after this fruit,” and so He introduced the maharṣi to the Pāṇḍavas. Then Romaṛṣi: “My desire is a petty one. I am craving the fruit that great emperors desire. This is not fitting. Come with me,” he said, and, chanting a mantra, he touched that fruit of amṛta with his hand. At once the fruit rose up and came and fell into his hand. Then the maharṣi offered it to the Pāṇḍavas. “For those who eat this fruit of amṛta there is no birth and death. Such a glorious fruit is this,” and so he explained to the Pāṇḍavas the special virtue of the fruit. Draupadī took the fruit, cut a piece from it and gave it to Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa: “Oh dear! Do you not know that I do not eat fruit? I do not touch any fruit at all. This fruit came for you; you yourselves must eat it,” He said. Then Draupadī, putting that piece into Kṛṣṇa's hand, prayed, “You touch it and make it holy; afterwards we will take it as prasāda.” Granting Draupadī's prayer, Kṛṣṇa touched the fruit, and after that all the Pāṇḍavas received it as Śrī Kṛṣṇa's prasāda and ate it. You see! Such supreme Bhakti has arisen in women. From ancient times, through the nature of women alone, men have become great heroes, grave and steady, and supreme devotees. If every emperor entered the most sacred path, woman herself is the basis of it. As His devotees, the Pāṇḍavas and Draupadī, ate that fruit of amṛta with great Bhakti and love, Kṛṣṇa sat experiencing supreme Ānanda. As Romaṛṣi watched that Ānanda, streams flowed from his eyes. Seeing that sight, Kṛṣṇa: “My dear! You are not shedding streams of tears. They are tears of Ānanda. Here, this birth of yours has found its fulfilment,” and He placed His divine hand on Romaṛṣi's head and blessed him. Romaṛṣi's life merged into Kṛṣṇa. Then, seeing this, all the Pāṇḍavas kept wishing that such good fortune might come to them too. All of them together: “Swami! What is there that we need? We have experienced all that we had to experience.
