In plain words
For one who has anger, no work bears fruit, and harm befalls him; doing sinful deeds, he earns the words ‘Chi! Get away!’, mark this!
It shatters one's wealth, it burns up the honour one has, it sets one apart from one's own people: through anger, everything is ruined for people.
As long as there is anger, Prema does not grow in us. So we must not give anger the least opening. Once anger enters, many vices enter in its train. Ahaṅkāra follows anger. Where these two are, envy begins. By the time these three vices gather, humanity itself is reduced to nothing. Where there is Prema, neither anger nor hatred can get in. So, Embodiments of Prema! Be full of Prema. Fill your hearts with Prema. Even the blood that flows through your body from the nails to the crown of the head must become full of Prema.
Where is God?
In spiritual sādhana there are three stages. First: I am in the light. Second: The light is in me. Third: I am the light. When you yourself are the light, you see light everywhere. This comes about only through Bhakti and surrender. If you ask, “Where is God?”, some say, “He is in me.” That is not the right answer. Where is this handkerchief? It is in my hand. So my hand is big and the handkerchief is small. In the same way, if God is in you, God becomes smaller than you! So you should not say that God is in you. Rather, you are in God.
