Passage 6

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Prema, Satya, Dharma... though their names differ in this way, the Divinity that lies hidden within all of them is one!

When I see these sādhanas, I feel like laughing!

Today, whatever we see and whatever we do, we do nothing that is Satya. Many people are doing sādhanas. When I see these sādhanas, I feel like laughing. All of these are useless sādhanas! Doing pūjās, doing vratas, keeping vows..... all these they are doing merely for show. These are not Satya and eternal; they are not sādhanas fit for realizing the Ātma. All of these are worldly show! What is the use of our practising such sādhanas, which rest on no true authority?

All sādhanas done without resting on Satya are nothing but sham! Satya is that which never changes; it yields to no time, no place and no circumstance. Satya springs from the heart alone. We must keep practising such Satya. We must pray with purity of thought, word and deed. At no time and in no circumstance should we give up Satya. Only then will Satya stay behind us and beside us and keep protecting us. Not only that: we must practise Satya and Dharma with a positive outlook. However much you do with a negative outlook, it is all like castles in the air! We must practise them with a positive outlook and with Prema.

It is name and form that plunge us into Māyā

People! Man is very great indeed. But he has come to lose all knowledge of what Satya and Dharma are. There is no Divinity higher than humanness. But men play games, laying the principle of Māyā over this humanness. A great mistake. We must join Divinity to humanness. But without experiencing Divinity, we pass our time patching humanness onto humanness. Divinity alone can bring humanness to its fulfilment. What is it that we must experience today?
