In plain words
Our children are large-hearted
The boy who spoke after him is from Delhi. He, too, had set his heart on going far in his studies. But as he did not have enough money, it was not possible. Later, when he got a seat in our college, he was able to earn the M.B.A. degree free. He passed in the first class. From then on he has gone nowhere else, and is absorbed in Swami's service. He has resolved to spend his life in this very institution, which shapes children to be exemplary. In this way all the students who join here go on enlarging their hearts. All our children go on growing in Prema and living with one another as brothers. I hope that the children who study in our institutions will help others, calmly and gladly. Though our children are highly educated, they are free of Ahaṅkāra. Only such people work as teachers in our institutions. To shape exemplary children like these: that is My firm resolve.
Great jobs in big cities such as Delhi and Agra have chosen the children who studied in our institution. There too our children, in a spirit of sacrifice, teach the poor and serve them. Wherever you look, our children take part in service with large hearts. Education is not mere acquaintance with books. To broaden one's heart, to cultivate the spirit of sacrifice, to feed many others along with oneself, to give joy to all... these are the marks of a truly educated person. Many such joyful-hearted students live with us. Shaping children like these is My chief duty. Whatever they need, I do for them. I send such children abroad too and have them pursue higher studies. Seven children are living here. All of them have completed double postgraduation. They wish to stay with Swami and nowhere else. I Myself look after them.
“My dear boys! You must go on to higher studies. You need not lean on your parents for money.
