॥

In plain words

I will see to everything. Study well and show a good example,” I told them, and keeping them all with Me, I am making the arrangements their higher education needs. In this way I am always helping others. I do not cause anyone the least trouble.

Dr. Padmanābhan, sitting right here, may well be known to all of you. He passed his medical degree while still young and thought of setting up a small clinic of his own in Bangalore. I called him: “Doctor! You must take still higher degrees. You must not give up your studies with only this much. Your family's circumstances may not be in your favour. But I am here to stand by you,” I told him. One day I had him come to Puttaparthi, gave him a good dinner and sent him to Vienna. He went abroad, studied well and came back, and now he does fine service here in our Brindavan. He serves all the poor. He has no thought at all of earning money. His only earning is a good name. Is there any earning greater than a good name? He has had a heart operation. Even so, he goes on serving with enthusiasm. Swami has shaped his heart to be pure, soft and sweet, and has him do service.

No illness of any kind pursues Me

Now and then this body has some small aches and troubles. They are only things that happen in the natural course; they are not illnesses. One day last year a boy had set up an iron stool and was tying a festoon over the door. At that very moment I came out from inside. The moment the boy saw Me he took fright and fell down; as he fell, the stool fell on Me. That was when My hip bone broke. It simply happened that way; it was not something that pursued Me as karma. Paying it no heed, I comforted the boy and sent him off.

Yesterday I was walking along quite well. After I came to the room, I took hold of a brick that was there. It slipped and fell, and a serious accident happened.
