In plain words
Hearing the noise, everyone was badly frightened. “What is this happening to Swami? Until just the other day His leg was not well. Now His arm has been hurt too!” they grieved. I reassured them that it did not matter at all. Some accidents happen because of karma. But this did not happen because of karma. A few hindrances of this kind have come along in this way, but no illness of any kind pursues Me. I go on, taking no notice of any of it. Come what may, I must do My duty. No illness has ever come to Me on My own account, never at all. A few things happen by accident. Paying them no heed, taking no notice of them at all, I go on carrying out My duty.
Today the devotees have arranged a meeting here. Whatever pain this body may suffer, I do not like to give up My duty. So I put on My robe, meaning to come. For My comfort the boys brought a shawl and stitched it over the gown I was wearing so that it sat neatly. The doctors said I must not move My arm at all. They said what they had to say. But paying no heed to any of it, I held on to two boys, went down the steps and came downstairs. Only because I look after the children with so much Prema do they too look after Me with so much Prema. Service of this kind brings one to a very high state. To look at, it is just a small service! But if you inquire, no one gets the chance to do service as great as this.
“The children alone are My property”
(At Swami's bidding the boys stood up.) All of these came from Delhi, Agra and many other cities and studied in Puttaparthi and in Brindavan. All of them together are now doing a great deal of service for Me. This is not something that goes away with medicines. Their Prema itself is working as a great medicine. That itself is healing Me. (Pointing to one boy...) This boy has done a Ph.D. All of them have completed high degrees. Even so, they wish to stay right here and serve Swami. Their Prema itself has been protecting Me in every way. Satyajit and a few other boys are inside as well.
