In plain words
M.A.s, B.A.s, M.B.A.s, M.F.M.s: though they have passed and come out, though they be eminent men who have won a name, though they have wealth and are generous givers, though they be worthy ones who have won fame on earth, though they have long life and health without end and are men of perfect strength, however much a man has studied, whatever his station, if there is no humanness in the man, however much learning he holds, its fruit is zero.
Students! Girl students! Teachers! Lovers of learning! Man cannot rise to a high state through worldly learning. Without the grace of God, however many efforts man makes, all of them come to nothing. Today there are ever so many in the world who have studied. But are they living in a way that is of any use to the country? In truth, it is the uneducated who appear better than the educated. ‘Having studied every branch of learning and grown very clever, the dull-witted one does not know himself in his heart’: however much intelligence one has, however many degrees one gains, if human values are not there at all, everything goes to waste. But our children are very virtuous and rich in good character. Not only do they study well themselves; they put that learning to use for the world. We never have cause to grieve that our college cannot find the finest teachers. The very students who studied in our college work here as teachers once their education is complete. Usually children who gain higher degrees try in all sorts of ways for money.
