In plain words
But our children share the learning they have gained with everyone and put it to good use. Such wealth of character is not something to be had from books. These qualities come welling up from their hearts. To nurture one's wealth of character is itself the finest education of all. One who has such education can rule the very world. Without it, however much one studies, there is no gain.
When I see these children, strong, virtuous, able and educated, I feel great joy. Not only this: our children are able to learn many other languages as well. For people of such gifts, the language of the Ātma is no great difficulty. Along with learning Sanskrit, they follow our culture. Developing the noblest saṃskāras, they stand as models. Children who studied here in Puttaparthi are spreading Swami's message in many countries: America, Japan, Germany, Italy and others. The Vedas, the very foundation of our Bhāratīya culture, are all in Sanskrit itself. Every day, morning and evening, our children recite the Vedas. In our college the children gain their education without spending a single coin. We ourselves spend more besides and educate ever so many. The children alone are My property. Whether it is looking after Swami or the growth of the educational institutions and the other institutions, our children alone do it all. You may think that Swami toils very hard to make such model students. But I have no toil at all. It is the children who are such a great help to Me. In serving their own parents, too, they are the very first. No desire for money is to be seen in them anywhere. To carry out Swami's commands with bowed heads is the very goal they take for themselves. Through such children we can build up many more educational institutions still. How, after all, should students conduct themselves?
As soon as the cock crows ‘cock-a-doodle-doo’, rise from your bed as you should; clean your teeth, ease the needs of the body, bathe, put on your clothes and eat your morning meal; food that is wholesome, chewed through and through and eaten in measure, will do you good; go to school and learn your lessons with care, and be known as a humble boy; never go wandering about in the damp; never go near the filthy ditches; running, kabaddi and games of ball keep up at the proper hours; if you heed the ways set out above, you will enjoy the riches of health.
