Passage 5

In plain words

He is always right beside Me, doing My work. Even so, he never leaves his own work pending in the least; he goes at night and does it.

(At Swami's bidding, another boy stood up.) This boy was born in a very backward region of Orissa. His father has three more sons. Now all four of them stay in Puttaparthi itself and work. They have passed the M.Sc. They have passed the M.B.A. Even so, they do not go anywhere for jobs. Saying they will go on serving Swami, they all stay right here. They have no desire for money. They are content with the salary that comes to them. In the same way, all the children here are living their lives as people of great virtue, given to sacrifice. For the past few months the children themselves have been looking after My affairs. I have no pain at all. I need no medical treatment at all. I need not give a thought to even the smallest thing. They ask Swami about every single thing, and only then lay the foundations for the work to be done next. There are 200 such children around Me in Prasanthi Nilayam. Those two hundred do not sit about like idlers. How much work they do is beyond description.

Through such children the country will greatly improve. Why am I telling all this today?... Our children are so educated, so virtuous. Not only that: they are wealthy too. They earn for themselves, but they do not touch a single naya paisa from their parents. When their parents come and ask, ‘Dear one! Do you need anything?’, ‘We need nothing. Swami Himself is looking after everything for us,’ they tell them. Much is yet to happen in the days ahead. Bhārata has no fear of any kind. Bhārata will become a prosperous land. Through our children this country will advance greatly. The chance will come for these very children to stand as its leaders.
