I opened the door from inside and came out. When he saw Me, some fear came over him. Trembling, he fell down from there. As he fell, that iron chair fell on Me. Right then this hip bone broke. The doctors tried in every way to put something on it and set it right. A bone like this bone cannot be had anywhere else. Thinking it would be hard for Swami to move the leg, the doctors are very distressed. I told them, no one need be distressed for Me in any way. The children themselves are My doctors and My compounders. They alone, as My companions and My shadow, can look after everything, I told them. I am able to get about as much as I do only because of the children.
“Swami! While You are here, why should we fear? We shall serve Swami and stay right here in joy,” many children have said, and without going off even to jobs outside, they stay close to Swami and do all the work. If I were to tell you the work our children are doing, you would not believe it. Some have come here leaving jobs that brought them thousands. Once someone came, took two of our children away and gave them jobs in their company. They went on paying them fifty, sixty thousand rupees a month. Those children shared what they earned among the poor children there. Not liking to be far from Swami, they resigned there and came back to settle right by My side. Our children are making Prasanthi Nilayam into a great workshop.
(At Swami's bidding, a boy stood up.) Look at this boy. First he passed in engineering. Then he passed his M.B.A. Great people of every kind came, took him by the hand and begged him to join their firms. But he went nowhere. He stays right here and spreads to the whole world, through ‘Radio Sai’, every little thing that happens in Puttaparthi. His parents too: “Swami! Do not send him to us. Keep him with You,” they say. When he was there, however much his parents coaxed him and whatever they cooked for him, he stayed thin and lean. Since he came to Swami, eating at odd hours, he has put on 18 kilos.
