Passage 8

In plain words

We must face it and set about overcoming it with courage. Now and then sorrow comes. When the parents who brought you up and raised you pass away, you feel great pain. But you must not give in to that pain. Keeping gratitude to your parents in your heart, you must face that sorrow with courage.

Embodiments of Prema! I may be tiring you all the more by talking so long! But I am talking at length only to give you courage. (When blood was flowing from Swami's nose) our children gathered in that room and sat there with crestfallen faces. “Don't be afraid at all; I am going out now. I will give the medicine this needs. This very courage is My real strength. That itself will make you forget this sorrow. Come, let us go,” I said. Seeing the cloths soaked in blood, they were very distressed. “What madness is this? Give them to the washerman and everything will come clean,” I told them. But no washerman can clean the blood that is our sorrow. Only the Prema of God cleans it. So develop Prema for God, and your sorrow will be dispelled.
