In plain words
Purify the heart with the thought of God
These examples show us how far humanity has strayed onto the wrong path today. To tell the truth, it was not for this that God gave us the body. This body was granted so that humanness may attain divinity, not to be led onto wrong paths and misused. So think for yourselves how sacredly this body must be used. From the time we rise at dawn until we lie down at night, we spend our time in worldly conduct, and at the very last we leave ourselves no room to remember God even at the time of sleep. To cleanse this body, so full of foul smells, we must apply the fragrance called the thought of God. At least once or twice a day we must purify the heart with the thought of God. In however many ways we engage this body in worldly dealings, for it Ānanda is nothing but a void. If we want to attain Ānanda, what must we do? We must keep the senses of this body in the sacred thought of the Paramātma. The eyes must see sacred sights. We must give the eyes a sacred look of compassion. Remembering the sacred Name with the tongue, we must put our time to good use.
I make My time sacred in every way
Students! I should not speak about Myself, but since it will be a guide for you, today I am telling you what happens every day. During the night I get up four times. I get up at twelve o'clock, brush My teeth well, and clean on all four sides with a tongue cleaner. Then I get up at half past one. Again I brush. Then I get up once more at three o'clock. Then too I do this brushing and clean My mouth. Because I get up so often at night like this, the boys who sleep in My room have a hard time of it.
