Passage 5

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

In the same way, good and bad, both of them, arise from you; they do not come from somewhere else and enter you. If you take some word and keep reading it over and over, you come to know it by heart. What you know by heart is not yours; it is merely an echo. In this world all is ‘reflection’, ‘reaction’, ‘resound’; apart from these three there is nothing else. So all these are only delusions, not Satya.

‘Reality’ is in you yourself

Whatever feeling springs from your heart takes on a form. That too is present in you yourselves. There is nothing you can achieve beyond that. For example, you want to see the form of Rāma. Close your eyes and keep remembering that form of Rāma. That itself appears to you as a ‘reflection’. In the Rāmāyaṇa they have described the power of Rāma in grand terms. Yet even that power of Rāma is not separate from you. They described it so in order to awaken a kind of consciousness in the people, but in truth you yourself are Rāma; you yourself are Kṛṣṇa; you yourself are Īśvara. Think, ‘I myself am Īśvara.’ Then you yourself will become Īśvara. Think of yourself as Kṛṣṇa. You will become that very Kṛṣṇa.

All of it is ‘reflection’, ‘reaction’, ‘resound’ coming from you! You alone are the one who is Satya. You are the reality. Divinity appears only in human form; it does not exist apart. You think, ‘Īśvara appeared to me.’ You see that Īśvara-nature only as a human form; you do not see it as a principle beyond this. So there is no one greater than you. Everything is in you yourself. You yourself are becoming everything. But you forget what is; you make up what is not. Only when you rid yourself of these delusions will you be able to see Brahman face to face.

All are one; the one in all is you!

For all things, Prema itself is what matters most. There is no God greater than Prema. If you let go of Prema, nothing remains; all becomes a void. Build Prema into a form for yourself. That itself will stay fixed in you.
