Passage 4

In plain words

Changing the mind is not a task human beings can achieve. In such a situation man's faith in God must be firm. If you put faith in God, He will surely help. God is not limited to one form. It is an infinite power. By that power any change whatever can be made. God may take any number of forms. But the divine power is only one. You think the power is different in different people. But it is not different. The Ātma that dwells in this body is the very same Ātma that dwells in that body too. The names may change, AC current, DC current, but the current is one, isn't it! In the same way, the Ātma dwells alike in all. But God goes on changing their minds according to each one's due. A change of mind does not come about through mantras, yantras or tantras. Only when God changes it does the mind change. God can do anything; He can go anywhere. Whether He went to the Kauravas or to the Pāṇḍavas, Kṛṣṇa was one and the same. But He appeared one way to the Kauravas and another way to the Pāṇḍavas. To think, ‘God has changed,’ is a great mistake. There is no chance at all of God changing. ‘Beyond attributes, stainless, eternal, the abode, ever pure, awakened, free, spotless in nature.’ Not everyone can understand such a truth of God.

Embodiments of Prema! No one else's love can equal God's Prema in the least. This Prema is not something that changes. However many forms He takes, the Prema does not change. You may call Him by any name. Say, ‘Veṅkaṭeśvara!’ Say, ‘Rāma!’ Say, ‘Kṛṣṇa!’ Say, ‘Sai Baba.’ The names have changed, but He is only one. For this very reason it has been said, ‘Brahman is one only, without a second.’ Some people: ‘God turned into Rāma, He turned into Kṛṣṇa. So there is no other God,’ they say. That is a change that has come in your vision, not a change that has come in God. God never changes merely because a change has come in form and name. God's will is very great.
