I was watching all this from the window. Until I got back to Bombay, that very scene kept moving before My eyes. Seeing the Bhakti of those Africans, My heart melted. When I came away, our whole aeroplane was filled with the gifts they had given. What were those gifts? Tea sets and dinner sets the colour of gold ... They brought and loaded in all kinds of other things besides. They are with Me even now. We use those very sets when we receive the Prime Ministers and Governors who come here. Those devotees have great Prema for Swami. It is so great that they do not have such Prema even for their own parents and children. When I was coming back, the grief they felt was beyond words. I too felt sad that I had to leave such devotees and come away. Then and there I resolved that I should never again go to a foreign country. Since then I have not gone to any country. Even that time there was a reason for going to that country. Dr Patel had earnestly prayed to Me to come there. “Swami! It is not for our sake alone. Many wild creatures live there. Grant them the good fortune of Your darśan and bless them too”, he pleaded. After we went there, he arranged small planes. In each plane he seated only two people. His idea was that from the plane one could roam freely and see everything well. Travelling about in those little planes, we saw everything. Lake Victoria is very large. It took us an hour and a half to cross that lake by plane. In it were many huge crocodiles. Short of room, they were falling one on top of another. Later, as we went along by boat, they all opened their mouths wide and kept looking at our boat alone. We threw apples to all of them. Until we came back, they held those apples just as they were. Not one of them swallowed. There were many hippopotamuses there too. Some of them were suckling their young. As we watched that whole scene, great joy arose in us. As many desires as human beings have, animals have them too. But the Prema they have, not even human beings have.
