In plain words
In that way you too must lead the whole of your life along one path. In those days Jōgārāvu or Sūri Bhagavantam had only to come and say, ‘We must get her married,’ and she would run away from them.
Once Jōgārāvu loaded her into a lorry by force and sent her to the Mudumalai forest. There he had her bound with huge chains. Male elephants came there. No sooner had she seen them than Sai Gita snapped those chains and came running away. Her legs were cut and they bled. Shedding blood the whole length of the road, she reached Brindavan at night and knocked at the door. Then Rāmabrahmam, who was inside, said, “Swami, someone is knocking at the door.” Saying, “It is no stranger,” I called from upstairs, ‘Gita!’ Hearing My call, she trumpeted loudly. ‘How did she come? What happened?’ When he asked, I told him what had happened. Over there, the forest officers were searching for her. “Where has Sai Gita gone? Has someone killed her? What have they done? There is blood all over!” they thought, and they were very frightened. Then I had a telephone call made: “Gita is with Me. So do not worry at all.” I said that no one was to come near her until all those wounds had healed.
I have no grief or sorrow at all that Sai Gita has gone. She has gone, but she will come back. She will come again, and very soon. So I am not grieving over her at all. But when I think of her Prema… Words are not enough to describe it. If such sacred feelings are in your heart too, Swami Himself will surely look after you. You need not worry over anything.
