Passage 2

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Regard yourself as God!

There are no powers in any other being that are not in man; there are none in any god either. So you must regard man himself as God. “God in human form.” But you regard a man as a man. That is precisely why you make so many mistakes. You are not a human being. You are God. “As you think, so you become.” If you dwell on evil, every thought that keeps coming to you will be evil. Regard yourself as God. You will surely become God. All are none other than embodiments of God! The God who dwells in all bodies is one alone. “Ekaṃ sat viprāḥ bahudhā vadanti.” We must love every single one. Love All, Serve All. The reason is that God Himself is in all. There is no place at all without God … He is in the sky; He is in water; He is in sound; He is in light. Every single thing is God. Leaving such a God aside, we sit worshipping idols set up in some temple or other that has been built. Worship the idols in the temples; there is nothing wrong in it. But recognise that the very God who is in those idols is in all. I do not say that it is wrong for you to worship. But truly, you yourself are God. Regard yourself as God and believe that God is in everything; there is nothing wrong in it.

The body itself is a temple. In this temple there is something called ‘energy’. In using it we must use some ‘discrimination’. Is this ‘energy’ God? Or is the body that has filled itself with ‘energy’ God? This body too is God. God is in every inch, in every atom, in every particle. So do not forget God. If you forget yourselves, that is the same as forgetting God. So you must not forget yourselves. With this very point in view it has been said: Always Be Careful. This is the very ABC of life. You must be careful at all times. ‘Am I remembering God, or am I forgetting Him?’: in this way you must examine your heart minute by minute.
