In plain words
She came in the middle. To forget the mother who was there even before you were born, out of infatuation with a wife who came in the middle, is madness. Sons, daughters, grandsons, sons-in-law: all of them come in the middle and go! Only while you are alive do you have a ‘connection’ with all of them. When you yourself are gone, where is the ‘connection’ with them?! So we must form no bond whatever with bodies. All the good deeds and right observances we owe our parents in the physical and worldly sense must be done; but when they go, we must not grieve in the least.
“I am your mother”
Once Narasimhamurthy (the warden of the Brindavan hostel) came to Me and said, “Swami, my mother has died.” “Who has gone? Has the body gone? Has the mother gone? Your mother has not gone; she is right here. It is your mother's body that has gone. Bodies must go one day; there is no escaping it. They are only bubbles on water; they keep coming and keep going. So do not grieve for her. You have Me. I am your mother. Whatever you wanted from her, ask Me, and I will give it,” I told him. From that day Narasimhamurthy has stayed with Me. He asks Me for all he needs, and I give it.

Parents, kin and friends come and go, come and go: coming and going; but God is not coming and going. He is always present. God is Omnipresent. This whole world is something that moves on and passes. How many have been born in this world! Are all of them still here? Death may come in any way at all.
