In plain words
Today in the world, in whomever you look: desires, desires, desires! We must keep them under control. Only when desires are checked does the mind become still. Man today has no contentment however much he has. He keeps hoping, ‘I want more, I want more.’ All of them are nothing but clouds that move on! Why should we hold on to these ‘passing clouds’ and swell our desires? In the end nothing goes along with us. In this world, what we need must certainly be there! For the upkeep of our body, we must certainly ask for what has to be asked for! But you ask for too much. However many years it may stay, this body is bound to go some day! So you must not cherish desires that go beyond limit.
You long so very much to see God. But where is God? All of you are embodiments of God! “God in human form.” God is not apart from you. Men are more valuable than all the wealth of the world. (Man is worth far more than all the riches and wealth there are in the world.) We see animals; we see wild beasts; we see human beings. ‘Am I a human being? An animal? A wild beast?’ You must reflect on this. When you think, ‘I am a human being’, human values must be in you; you must live as a human being; thoughts fit for a human being must be in you. The first of the human values is Satya. It does not change in all three times. You must follow that Satya.
The root of your good and bad is nothing but your thoughts!
Prema... Prema... Prema... Prema is God; live in Prema! Your life is sustained by that very Prema. Only when Prema and Satya, these two, come together does Ahiṃsā arise.
