In plain words
Bad, too, exists nowhere on its own. Good and bad stay together as one. So we must take both alike as God's gift. When something bad comes, we say, ‘Chī, I do not want this.’ But we must not do that. The good is within the bad itself; the bad is within the good itself. So good and bad are both one! Only because of a ‘difference of time’ do they look different to us. If you eat a fruit tonight, by tomorrow morning it turns into excrement. That is, the good itself turns into the bad. So good and bad appear at different times, but the two are not seen at the same time.
We must see God in human form itself
There is one work alone for us to do today: we must pray to God. If only self-confidence is there, everything comes to us. If that one thing is missing in us, however much money there may be, however much property, it is all in vain! ‘All this is God's gift! God Himself does everything’: we must always hold this feeling firmly. Where is God? He is right within you. God is the One who dwells in your heart. Your Ātma itself is God. So you must not set out to search for God. You say God is Rāma, or Kṛṣṇa. These names belong to bodies. The body lasts only for a while; as time goes by, it keeps on changing. As soon as he is born, a human being is called a ‘child’; when he has grown a little, he is called a ‘boy’; then he is called a ‘man’; when old age has come, he is called a ‘grandfather’. Child, boy, man, grandfather: all are one and the same, are they not! Only the body changes; the Ātma stays one and the same. Now, even though God is in human form, even though He is as a human being, take that very One to be God. All of you come to see this body. This ‘physical body’ shows the ‘eternal divinity’.
