In plain words
One whose sight is outward is a paśu; one whose sight is inward is Paśupati
Anger destroys the Jñāna a man has. Lust destroys karma; greed destroys Bhakti. Lust, anger and greed, in turn, leave a man without karma, without Jñāna and without Bhakti. That is, they make him a fool. Lust is the cause of anger. Lust arises from ignorance. So sacrifice means sacrificing (giving up) ignorance: that is “Mokṣa”.
