In plain words

Selfless service is the heart of Vidyā. Vidyā is the chief bearing of holy Prema and nothing else. He who does good to mankind is the darling child of God. He is an ideal brother to the nation. He is worthy of Ātmajñāna. He who uses his wealth, his strength, his thoughts and his speech (wealth and the three instruments) so that the good of others may grow is a man of greatness. He is one born on the earth for a purpose. A man vowed to selfless service and to his own Dharma stays at peace wherever he is. The places around him too are filled with peace. Vidyā is what makes one offer one's Ahaṅkāra as an oblation before the divine image called ‘all-pervading Prema’. Only after doing so does one gain ‘purity of the Manas’, which is the foundation of spiritual growth. The divine quality that feeds the Manas with thought of God, the heart with holy feelings and the hands with desireless karmas may be called Vidyā. First one must learn the secret of service. If you are to serve another, you must make him happy in every way. Vidyā also teaches that troubling others in the name of ‘service, service’ is not service.
