In plain words
Your actions, your gestures, your looks, your words, your food, your clothes, your gait: through these your nature is proved. So our words, our play, our thoughts and our ways must be right, sāttvic and unperturbed. The feeling must arise in us that there are many good things we can learn from others. Fervour, will-power, resolve, power of action, intelligence, power of knowledge, your purposes: these must concern all people. Your heart must belong to all. So too your thoughts. Just as cloth is full of threads, so society and nation are made up of individuals. What yajña is mealtime? One must not eat with greed and with a disturbed citta. One must eat as medicine for life. Every hardship you meet must be seen as a good chance to increase your strength of mind and become stronger still. The way of Prakṛti is to grow. The way of divinity is to become one.
