There are many means that can give man Jñāna and Śānti. That is to say, there are holy scriptures by the lakh: the Veda, the Śāstras, the Brahma Sūtras, the Bible, the Koran, the Zend Avesta, the Granth Sahib and so on. In India there is no shortage at all of religious teachers, preachers, scholars and great souls. Countless campaigns of preaching are going on. Yet what is the reason that the Manas of man has sunk so dreadfully low in the moral, religious and spiritual field?
