In plain words
What the world needs today is a pure Manas and a pure heart
The bad habits of hatred, envy, greed, ostentation and comparing oneself with another at every moment must be rooted out from us. These qualities have gone to the heads not only of ordinary men but even of sādhus, sannyāsins, heads of monasteries and scholars. In them too this envy and hatred has gone beyond all bounds. If the very teachers who should show themselves ideal men follow such base feelings, what can they set right in the world? They will only increase the pollution. What the world needs today is not a new method. Not a new education. Not a new system. Not a new society, nor a new religion. None of these can solve the problems that have flared up today. What is needed today is a pure Manas and a pure heart. Such a pure Manas and heart must grow abundantly in the young, boys and girls. In the world of believers, this is the great sādhana we must achieve today. This is possible only through “Brahmavidyā”.
