Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Imitation is not civilisation

Students! Imitation is not civilisation at all. You may put on the dress of a lord. But will that alone make you a lord? Does a donkey become a tiger merely by being covered with a tiger's skin? Imitation is a sign of cowardice. It is not a means of progress. In truth it is a pointer to the stairway of man's downfall, a fearful form. If a man sets about reviling himself, such a man cannot recover. One must be proud to say, I am one of the nation of Bhārat. One must be proud of our forefathers. To say with pride, I am wholly of Bhārat, is true courage.
