In plain words
The good of the individual lies within the good of the world
The educated man, or the student, must have simplicity. Through ostentation we truly lose our own individuality. The student must recognise this well. Any person, though master of every science and a great intellect, if he has lost humility and obedience, does not count among the wise or the learned. Society too does not respect such people. Even if it respects them for a while, their respect sinks inwardly. It does not last. Simplicity alone brings respect. It carries one to a lasting standing. If one wins respect on the spot, like a fountain firework, the very next moment one has to face slander. Simplicity brings lasting respect. Vidyā is what teaches a nature of sacrifice, simplicity and generosity.
