Passage 3

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

The good of society is the highest of all Dharmas

Every student must decide with wisdom, on every occasion, what the highest Dharma is and what the best conduct is, and act in the way the progress of society requires. Living beings must never be hurt without reason, on some pretext or other. The highest Dharma in the world, above all, is the good of society. Keeping that in view, one must not be led into misconduct unjustly and wrongly, nor fall prey to self-interest.
