In plain words
Gopāla, when You are not before their eyes, the cows, they say, will not nibble even the grass; without the sight of You, without You near them, the cowherd boys, they say, will not eat their food; when You do not appear, with no service of You to do, the gopīs, they say, will not even drink water; without hearing Your stories, without talk of You, the cowherds, they say, will not close their eyes in sleep. Son of Nanda, the single-minded Bhakti of the gopīs fills the whole universe: is there anything to equal it? What else beyond this can I make known, O members of this gathering, esteemed for your gentle and good qualities!
