18Seeing him coming from far off, the killer of the children, his mind shaken, fled by chariot across the earth as far as he could go, wanting to save his life, as Ka once fled in fear of Rudra. 19When he saw himself without refuge and his horses spent, the brahmana's son took the weapon headed by Brahma to be the saving of himself. 20Then, touching water, he fixed it with his mind gathered, not knowing how to draw it back, his life being in peril. 21Then a fierce blaze broke out towards every quarter; and seeing his life in danger, the Victorious one spoke to Visnu.
