27Bhagavan said: know this to be the weapon of Brahma displayed by Drona's son. He does not know how to draw it back, his life being threatened. 28There is no other weapon at all that draws this one down. Being a knower of weapons, put out the swelling heat of the weapon by the heat of a weapon. 29Hearing what the Bhagavan said, Phalguna, killer of enemy heroes, touched water, walked round him, and fixed the weapon of Brahma against the weapon of Brahma. 30Striking one another, the two heats, wrapped about with arrows, covered the earth and sky and the space between, and grew like the sun and like fire. 31Seeing the great heat of those two weapons burning up the three worlds, all the people, burning, took it for the fire at the ending of an age.
32Marking the affliction of the people and that overturning of the world, and knowing what Vasudeva thought, Arjuna drew both weapons back. 33Then, reaching Gautami's son swiftly, he bound that harsh man as a beast is bound with a cord, his own eyes copper-red with fury.
