Are our own people living happily in the city of Anarta: the Madhus, Bhojas, Dasarhas, Arhas, Satvatas, Andhakas and Vrsnis? Is Sura, my mother's father, well? Is the honoured one at ease? Is my mother's brother Anakadundubhi in health, with his younger brothers? The seven sisters, his wives, my aunts, with their sons and their sons' wives, Devaki foremost among them: are they themselves in safety? Does king Ahuka live, whose son was worthless, and his younger brother; Hrdika with his son, and Akrura, Jayanta, Gada and Sarana? Are they well, and those headed by Satrujit? And is Rama at ease, the Bhagavan, lord of the Satvatas?

Is Pradyumna, the great chariot-fighter of all the Vrsnis, at ease? And does Aniruddha thrive, the Bhagavan of deep force? Susena and Carudesna, and Samba the son of Jambavati, and the other foremost sons of Krsna with their sons, Rsabha and the rest? And likewise the companions of the son of Sura, Srutadeva and Uddhava and the others, with Sunanda and Nanda at their head, and the other bulls of the Satvatas? Are they all in safety, who take refuge in the arms of Rama and Krsna? And do they remember our welfare, being bound to us in friendship?
