Brahmin, how is this holding kept up, and where is it agreed to rest, and of what kind is it, that it should so quickly take the stain from a man's mind? Having mastered his seat, having mastered his breath, having mastered his attachments and his senses, let him hold the mind by understanding upon the gross form of the Bhagavan. This body of his is the particular one, the grossest of all gross things, in which this whole world is seen: what has been, what is to come, and what is now. In this body, the shell of the egg fitted about with its seven sheaths, is the Person of the Viraj, the Bhagavan, upon whom the holding rests.
