20The two nostrils opened out while the wind was blowing hard; and there was the wind that carries smell, and the smelling in the nose of one who wanted to take it in. 21When there was no light in himself and he wanted to see himself, his two eyes opened out; and there was light, and the eye that takes hold of that quality. 22As he was being made known by the seers, and himself wanted to take that in, his two ears opened out; and there were the quarters, and the hearing that takes hold of that quality. 23As he wanted to take hold of the softness and hardness of things, their lightness and weight, their heat and cold, the skin opened out; and in it the body hairs and the plants. There the wind moved within and without, held in by the skin, its quality taken hold of.
24His two hands grew, out of his wish to do many kinds of work; and in them, strength, and Indra, and the taking hold that rests upon both. 25His two feet grew, since he wanted to win the going he desired. From the feet came Yajna himself; and by their works men make the offering.
