The organ of generation opened out in him who wanted children and delight and the drink that does not die; and there were the loins, and what is dear to desires, which rests upon both. As he wanted to throw out the waste of the elements, the anus opened out; and from that the vent, and from that Mitra, and the throwing out that rests upon both. As he wanted to move out from the city and go forward, breathing downward, the door of the navel opened; and there the downward breath, and from that death, and the being separate that rests upon both. As he wanted to take in food and drink, the belly and the entrails and the channels came to be; and rivers and seas belong to those two, and on them rest contentment and nourishment.

As he wanted to meditate on his own maya, the heart opened out; and from that the mind, and from that the moon, and resolve, and desire. Outer skin, inner skin, flesh, blood, fat, marrow and bone are the seven elements of the body, made of earth and water and fire; and the breath is made of space and water and wind. The senses are made of the strands, and the strands come out of the first of the elements. The mind is the self of every change, and the understanding has the form of full knowing.
