The sun that is Krsna has gone down, and the great serpent has swallowed our houses. What good word am I to give you of them, now that their splendour is gone? This world is unlucky, and the Yadus far more so, who lived beside Hari and did not know him, as fishes do not know the moon. The Satvatas could read a gesture, they had much experience, they took their pleasure together in one place; and yet all of them took him who is the dwelling of all that lives for the bull of the Satvatas. There are those touched by the god's maya who lean on some other thing that is not real. Their talk does not set wandering the mind of a man who has sown himself in the self, in Hari.

He showed his own image, which is the eye of the world, to men who had done no austerity and whose looking was never filled; and then he took it up and was gone.
