17This burns my heart when I remember it: how, bowing at his parents' feet, he said, Father, mother, we were in great fear of Kamsa, and we have made you no return for anything. Be kind to us. 18What man who has once breathed the dust of his lotus feet could be able to forget it, he who with the arching branch of a lifted eyebrow, and with death for his instrument, put aside the earth's burden? 19You saw for yourselves at the royal consecration what the Cedi king attained, who hated Krsna, and what men of yoga long for with yoga rightly done. Who then could bear to be parted from him? 20And so with the other heroes of this world of men, who in the fighting drank with their eyes the lotus of Krsna's face, a delight to look at, and were made clean by the son of Prtha's weapons, and reached his station.
21He himself has no equal and no one above him, lord of the three, holding everything he could want by the splendour of his own rule; and the old guardians of the worlds bring him tribute and praise his footstool with the tips of their crowns. 22And this service of his breaks us down, friend, who are kept by him: that he would stand before Ugrasena seated on the highest throne and announce to him, Lord, be pleased to attend.
