His heart broke open, and the moon entered that seat with mind for his portion, by which he takes hold of change. His self broke open, and self-regard entered that station with action for its portion, by which he takes hold of what is to be done. His clarity broke open, and the great one entered that seat with thought for his portion, by which he takes hold of understanding. From his head came heaven, from his feet the earth, from his navel space; and in them the workings of the strands are made out, the gods and the rest. By clarity carried to its end the gods came to heaven; and by the nature of passion the traders and those who follow them came to the earth.

By the third nature the companies that attend on Rudra came to rest at the Bhagavan's navel, the space that lies between the two.
