Having seen in this way, by austerity and learning and gathered attention, where he had himself come from, and having praised as far as mind and speech will go, he fell silent, like a man worn out. Then the slayer of Madhu, seeing what Brahma meant, and that his mind was cast down by that water in which the aeon had been swept together, and that he was worn out in himself over the knowing of how the worlds are set in their places, spoke to him with words of no bottom, as though quieting his gloom. Bhagavan said: You who carry the Veda in you, do not go dull. Bring your effort to the making. What you are asking of me I have already brought about beforehand.

Take up austerity once again, and the knowing that rests on me. By those two, Brahma, you will see the worlds uncovered within your heart. Then, held in devotion and gathered together, you will see me stretched through yourself and through the world, Brahma, and see the worlds, and your own self, in me.
