Fire in wood· Verses 32–37

When a man sees me standing in all beings as fire stands in wood, then and there he lets his gloom go. When he sees the self free of the elements and the senses and the strands and the mind's old stores, and joined to me in its own form, he comes into his own kingship. You mean to bring forth many creatures by spreading out works of many kinds; in this your self will not sink, for my kindness towards you is very great. The sinning strand of passion will not bind you, first of sages, since your mind is bound fast in me even while you send the creatures forth. I am known by you today, though I am hard for those who wear bodies to know, in that you hold me to be unjoined with the elements and the senses and the strands.

When you were in doubt about me, my self was shown to you within and not outside, while you were searching down the stalk in the water for the root of the lotus.
