28Ksatta, the self-born came to want his own slender daughter Vak, who carries off the mind. She did not want it and he did. So we have heard it. 29Seeing their father with his mind made up on wrongdoing, the sages headed by Marici spoke out of trust and brought him back to himself. 30This was not done by those before you, nor will others to come do it: that you, a lord, should go to your daughter without holding down the desire born of the body. 31Teacher of the world, even for the mightiest this is not a thing to be well spoken of. It is by keeping to the way you go that the world comes to safety. 32Salutation to that Bhagavan who by his own light showed forth all this, which stands within himself. He is the one fit to guard dharma.
33Seeing before him his sons, the lords of creatures, speaking so, the lord of the lords of creatures was ashamed and let that body go. The quarters took up that dreadful thing, the fog which they know as darkness.
